Bundanoon is a charming Southern Highlands village on the edge of the Great Morton National Park.
Situated 15 minute drive off the Hume Highway. The population is around 2000 and is the home for many popular annual events.
Morton National Park
At 162 000 ha Morton National Park is one of NSW’s largest parks. Containing a considerable section of the Southern Highlands its features include rugged sandstone cliffs; deep, well-forested valleys; and several rivers.There is a diversity of flora and fauna and abundant wildlife in the park.
There are over 14 different walks for all leves, from easy to very challenging.
The village hosts , each November one of Australia’s largest cycling events, the Highland Fling Mountain Bike Marathon, which attracts around 2000 riders.
Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe is a meeting place for locals and visitors. Her you can hire a bike and get all the information you need on the many rides around the area.
Glow Worm Glen
Glow Worm Glen Walk starts at William Street, Morton National Park. Glow worms are only visible after dark. A popular 20 min walk for the whole family.
This event is held in April each year. A day of Scottish teamed entertainment and sport that attracts visitors from all around the globe. Bundanoon’s most popular event which attracts more than 10000 visitors.
A week of music, entertainment, markets, crafts and hobby courses held in July each year.
A popular springtime event when some of the best gardens in the area are open for visitors. Bus transport takes you between the gardens and attracts around 1000 visitors.
On Wednesday 16th Jan 2013 we are organising a day of Country Music for the whole family in Bundanoon.
Tamworth’s line dancing instructors will be here for a day to help us get the legs moving. Country and music stars; Bec Hance and Dough McIntyre will put on a show here on their way to Tamworth.
