Coronavirus information
We are closely following all advice from the Australian Government and World Health Organisation in regard to their recommendations for minimising the spread of the virus. We have been preparing and have implemented best hygiene practices, and have instructed all workers (cleaners/gardeners) to refrain from coming into work if they have any flu-like symptoms, or believe they may have been exposed to the virus.
With the best safety measures in place, Bundanoon Lodge remains open. If you are unwell or suspect you may have been exposed to the virus, please stay home and get plenty of rest and we will see you at a later time.
Staying at the Lodge
The Bundanoon Lodge experience is designed to make you feel like you are staying in your own home. Take the time to walk around the building and explore the house; the library, guest lounge, verandas and garden. These areas are for you to enjoy anytime during your stay. During the colder months the Lodge is centrally heated. A wood burning fire will be lit in the guest lounge on request. To contact Ruth between 8:00am and 8:00pm it is best to text or call her mobile on 0409 233 999.

Your room key will not open the external balcony doors of your room. Guests must access their rooms via the guest wing corridor. Please leave your room key in the door when you check out. Guests will incur a $50 charge for a lost room key.

Evening Meal
Bundanoon is a tiny village but it does offer several eating options for an evening meal.
Internet and WIFI
Bundanoon Lodge is connected to the NBN network. Internet access is complimentary and WI-FI is available in all bedrooms and public areas of the property. WI-FI password: molly111
Mobile Phone Connection
Telstra has the best mobile connection in Bundanoon. If your provider is Telstra you can select the Telstra WI-FI phone calls option on your mobile phone around the Lodge as it uses the NBN network.
Audio and Television
There is access to a digital television DVD player and CD player in all rooms except the English Room and the Australiana Room. Both of these rooms have Smart TVs that have music channels and Netflix. A large Smart TV is also available in the Guest Lounge. This TV also has Netflix. Please help yourself to a selection of DVDs located in the guest lounge or CD’s located in the guest dining area.
Tea and Coffee
If you would like coffee or tea while using the common areas of the Lodge please help yourself to the facilities in the guest dining area. You will find English Breakfast tea and a variety of herbal teas, hot chocolate or instant coffee. Biscuits are also available for your enjoyment. Milk is in the guest fridge.
Smoking
Bundanoon Lodge is a non-smoking building. If you wish to smoke please do so outside. There is an ashtray on the table on the back deck beside the BBQ and another one under the Porte-cochère near the entry.
Please do not smoke on the veranda outside your room. The smoke sucks back into your room and into other guest rooms.
Linen Laundry and Ironing
Towels will be changed on request and bed linen will be changed every third day. Guests staying three days or longer are welcome to use the Lodge washing machine but clothes must be hung on the line as there is no clothes dryer.
Please ask Ruth about using the washing machine and/or the Laurastar commercial steam iron located in the Lodge office.
Reading Material
There is a large selection of magazines and newspapers in the breakfast area. You may take any of these to your room if you wish. There is also a variety of books for you to enjoy in the Library. If you haven’t finished your paperback book from the library by the time you leave the Lodge, please take it with you.
Heating, Air-conditioning and HRV Ventilation
During the winter months the Lodge is heated by gas central heating and rooms can be ‘topped up’ with extra heat by turning on the reverse cycle air-conditioner in your room.
The Japanese, Swedish, NZ and Australiana Room are fitted with an HRV Core Ventilation Unit. Fresh, filtered air is brought in and old air is removed. You will see the circular unit on the ceiling. The HRV air system is set and cannot be changed from your room. If you are bothered by the sound of the air flow please ask Ruth to turn it off.
Please DO NOT climb on a chair and wind up the unit as this will compromise the motor.
All guest rooms are air-conditioned. The instruction booklet for your unit is in a drawer in your room.
BBQ
Guests are welcome to use the gas BBQ which is just outside the guest dining area on the west deck. There is no charge to use the BBQ provided it is cleaned after use. A $30 cleaning fee will be charged if the BBQ is not cleaned. Please ask Ruth to show you how to light it. Its tricky.
Massage
Relax and unwind with a facial or body treatment that will revive and rejuvenate. Appointments need to be made in advance as our massage therapist is highly sought after. Please text Ruth on 0409 233 999 to make an appointment. Health fund rebates are available for massage, reflexology and kinesiology.
Walks
For those who would like to indulge in some exercise there are fabulous walking and running areas all around Bundanoon. Firstly try the Jordan’s Crossing walk which is just across Elmsmore Road (2 mins). It takes you across the playing fields through the bush and around the Bundanoon Oval (20 mins). For walks further afield you can’t get better than Morton National Park (5 min drive). There is a map on the wall next to the kitchen. Feel free to photograph the map so you have it with you.
